Too much acceleration.

By admin

Too much Stuff.

I feel like there is just too much acceleration going on in the tech world, to a point where it is detrimental to go on social media and look at the latest developments. Its like every time I go online there's 100s of people spouting off crap about the latest and greatest models and workflows and how there's only "12 months before getting stuck in the permanent underclass"...

A world of corn.

These cornballs prolly just do it for engagement. Its true that the world is quite literally spinning out of control from the pace of advancements in AI. I mean just look at this website that I made in like 1 week. Shit is really crazy what you can do if you set up your repo right and give clear instructions as well as guide your outcomes and make feedback loops to recursively test your output and improve your experience... Its crazy how software development has evolved during my life and I'm honestly not super happy it happened when I'm in my golden years. I've been developer for close to 10 years now; people like me are going to be considered fossils for the next generation of devleopers who have a foundation solely in AI development. I honestly miss the thinking you had to do; it no longer feels like engineering when you are developing code. It mostly feels like guiding a toddler who is 100000x smarter than you and just supervising it; ur not actually typing anything besides instructions.

Don't worry.

I know it seems hard to believe (it is for me), but everything will be ok. Like what are the chances these developements in AI just uproot your whole life. Just don't look at the news! Specifically, I feel like rn X is a platform that is just all AI-doomer slop and evangelist mfs that make you feel like you are falling behind (if you are on tech twitter?) It doesn't matter. What helps for me is exploring my other passions; the creative stuff like art and the stuff that grounds you like going to play pool with friends or going to the library to just enjoy the quiet or getting a bacon egg and cheese on jalapeño cheddar bagel; just do whatever makes you happy and know that life is in the present not the future.

you've reached the bottom. go outside.
